Each year we award grants to organizations for projects that cater to the needs of women and girls on Staten Island, reflecting the Soroptimist values of community service. The Community Service Awards complement Soroptimist International of Staten Island’s other efforts, which include awareness, advocacy, and action through recognizing women of distinction, providing financial aid to women seeking higher education, and offering career mentorship through our established Dream programs. To apply for Community Service Awards eligibility is restricted to Staten Island-based organizations, which must be nominated by a Staten Island club member. In your application, please clearly explain how Soroptimist funds will assist women and/or girls.
